Collaboration
03:10
|
|||
My dreams, your luck, my wrench, your truck
Your work, my break, let’s find out what does it take
Your brains, my looks, your tunes and my hooks
It looks fun, feels good
Come on now let’s saw some wood yeah
My paste, your brush, your mellow and my rush
My couch, your flick, my cards but it’s your trick
Half of what I give to you is more than enough
to see us through and half of what you give to me
is more than enough you’ll see
My dog, your cat, I agree that’s a nice hat
Your fish, my bike, I said come on baby
let’s ride tonight
I propose, you accept, I mistake and you correct
Right here right now come on I said let’s
make the vow and it’ll be a collaboration
It’ll be a collaboration yeah

Love Can Be Won
01:58
|
|||
Love, right from the start it’s easy then it gets hard
Still love can be won one day at a time
Some people they don’t believe
It’s easier to sleep but you wake me up yeah
You wake me up. How did I find this gift of you?
All of the things I want to do and even if
I fail the task, I know I’m on the path
Some people they don’t believe
It’s easier to sleep, but let’s stay awake yeah
let’s stay awake to love
Right from the start it’s easy then it gets hard
Still love can be won, love can be won

Restless Moon
03:29
|
|||
A warm breeze is blowing, it whispers in the leaves
A dark sky is hanging above the buildings of the city
The earth sighs you can feel but you can’t see it
and I said that there’s a restless moon tonight
Feelings that you bury for a very long while
You feel like you’re going to make a sudden
change of style. You look into the mirror you don’t
recognize your own smile and I said that there’s
a restless moon tonight
Well there’s a restless, a reach out a sudden on the
shoulder kind of moon. Chemicals are changing in
your blood make you sing a different tune
Oh lover watch your lover slippin’ out on you
Mother watch your daughter ‘cause she sure
ain’t in school. When this whole town sinks
why should you be the only fool?
I said, that there’s a restless moon tonight

Heart Is A Message
03:44
|
|||
Heart is a message, heart is an angel inside of you
Heart is a mind, heart is a well, heart is true
Keep your heart tuned and life will not find you too blue
Walk in the city, walk in the garden, the colours run
Is it just virtual? Look at them running from your hands
Heart is a language, heart is a song
Hello to you inside my heart
Hello to the place that you made inside my heart
Heart is a message, heart is an angel inside of you
Heart is a mind, heart is a well, heart is true
Keep your heart tuned and life will not find you too blue
Heart is a message

What is so rational about a knife to the heart?
It feels very cold, it feels very sharp
I have no opinion about the way that it should be
I admit to this weakness that keeps my heart beating
Must I accept guilt for perceiving intentions?
Must I be responsible for maintaining an armour?
In the dance of relation we are seldom so careful
Though we learn to find safety in knowing the poison
Love is not faint of heart. Come on now lover we’ve
just reached the hard part. Love is not faint of heart
Come on now lover put your will in the fire
I see you, I breathe you, I sense you your feelings
Impressions that I take home are all just mistakes
I use them for shaping and planning tomorrows
but you never turn out as a product of my thinking
Come and look at this view is it not a high elevation
By digging a tunnel we’ve come out on a mountain
To go one direction you may go in another. It is and it
isn’t anyway I surrender. Love is not faint of heart

Fortunate One
03:31
|
|||
When I was very young I also was very old and voices
came to me and much was given. And out of the light
came darkness, a shadow in the world
a shadow in the world, mine to inherit
Oh fortunate one who has enough
when the day is done and the darkness comes
Oh fortunate one with loved ones safe and sound
and dreams to dream on
I dreamt of the atom bomb
I dreamt of the sirens screaming
I dreamt that I could not breathe
The air was burning and the dreams came faster
now and faster too the forgetting and funny but
being awake was just like sleeping
Now there are those who say that the terror is
spreading. That we must act now to preserve our
good fortune. But was it not always so? What action
do we take? What is the wisdom of the fortunate ones?

The Cathedral
02:46
|
|||
The grocer said he was a father and it was father’s day
Then he rattled his chains on the counter and we
pretended to look away. Routine chains on a routine
man on a routine day. And I fell on my knees to pray
The hotels were all booked up and we hadn’t a place
to stay. Then we found one way overpriced and I
finally allowed us to pay, but I didn’t know you were
planning to leave me anyway. On a routine night
in a routine town. The desk staff joined hands with
the maid and we fell on our knees to pray
Now the full moon is silently rising. The trees are all
standing like saints. So many lights are turned on
that it looks like a box full of paints. A silhouette there
through the curtain. A routine curtain, a routine
moment. A routine apartment quite late
A man down on his knees to pray

Yup
03:07
|
|||
Hey, what ya doing? This tension could be our ruin
Yup, you’ve got to hold it down
I went to sleep this morning, the lazy sun came
warming, bright behind closed eyes
The room was getting hot so I opened up the
window, stuck my head outside
Oh my God the garden, our garden is on fire
Oh my God our beautiful garden
Run get a ladder I’ll tie these sheets together
Too late I’m going out the window
Yup, you’ve got to hold it down

Song For Kitsilano
03:50
|
|||
Cool breeze off the ocean what an easy kick
The north shore is dancing in postcard silhouette
Kitsilano wakes up as the night grows dark
I’m sitting here relaxing shoes off in the park
I was up at the Sunshine listening to all of that jive
I had a cup of coffee, talked and watched the
summer crowd go by, never felt so relaxed but so
alive, so I call you up and say hey let’s go walking
Bare feet on a warm summer’s night
Bare feet in the cool grass on a warm summer’s night
I used to think that forever was just an expression. But
this night has made for me a very strong impression.
I’ve thought about it, I’ve come to a decision
Life is advertising I’m available for the position
Oh I could sit here forever underneath these stars
I could sit here forever darling in your arms
If there was one gift that I could give to you
it would be a night like this, it would be a sensation

Book and Ball
02:21
|
|||
Remember when nothing happened? Remember
when you were small? Remember when nothing
mattered but your book and your ball
Calm so calm tonight, sleeping softly, sleeping tight
Worries gone at last the sky is clear and love, sweet
love is here. Could it be we’ve not changed at all?
Could it be that we’re still the same?
I’m here, right here, I’ve never left your side
So close your eyes, reach inside
and find your book and your ball
